We had brunch for one of MJNL's co-worker's birthday. She had asked us for a place to eat brunch, and the only one we could think of was Oliver & Bonacini Cafe Grill. The food is good, but the prices are a little steep. (We found a number of other places that CJF and JB have been to so we will need to check them out some time.)
In any case, we had a good meal and had to rush out of there to MIBAgentQ's and BL's house.. something. Apparently August 23rd is an auspicious day for moving into a house, so they wanted to make today their official move in day. They will not actually be living there for another week or so. The place is a lot cleaner than when we visited last week though. (Probably because we cleaned the kitchen last time.)
Afterward, MJNL and I went on a cleaning frenzy, cleaning out the kitchen, and doing all the laundry including the table cloth and other things we irregularly wash. We had a brief moment where we wanted to rearrange the kitchen, but realized that the current configuration was the best. I guess my earlier self did think it through the first time.
Oh, and we have been going through the fridge and freezer to take stock of our food. There is a lot of stuff that has been in there for a while and I want to actually use the stuff in there.
I might have to throw those pie crusts out. =(
I hate wasting food!
But the kitchen counter has not been this clean in months!
