[11:43 AM EST - Dream Sequence: Car trip.]

I already forgot this morning's dream, but I sat in bed for a bit yesterday to remember the dream I just had, so I do recall parts of it.

I was taking part in some road trip somewhere. However, some of us were meeting at a restaurant where people were playing chess and eating. I was watching one of the games, wondering if I should join in when I decided that I should get going. I had started heading out but realized I forgot something and went back into the restaurant. The eating area was full of people, but it started to rain outside, so I rushed out to the car. Instead of taking the concrete path, I decided to run across the artificial pond. The pond was shallow (several inches), but there were these metal pads a centimeter under the water that criss-crossed the pond and allowed me to take this short cut without getting my feet (too) wet.

Some other girl was following me, but I quickly outdistanced her by hopping the pads.

I found myself in my car and was driving at night on some city street. The street lights passed by and I looked up at the sky to see the constellation Orion quickly ascending in the sky. As soon as the belt appeared with the star Sirius, the entire constellation began to warp and appeared on the roof of my car. Other stars appeared underneath and indicated that it was some sort of navigational program. I thought that it was really neat, but not particularly useful for where I was going.

I headed into a brightly lit tunnel which turned into some sort of foyer. I found myself running through, trying to get out of the building and slowly wound my way through the corridors as the environment slowly degraded from majestic arches to a small cleaning closet. The window was ajar, so I was able to scoot outside, but found a baby in a basket. For some reason I thought I was Michael J. Fox.
