One of the more annoying aspects of cleaning up the bathroom is cleaning the bathroom mirror. There are specks of stuff on the mirror that are not easily wiped off and require some soaking or scraping to remove. There are probably chemicals out there that would make my life easier, but I realized that I could soak the mirror just by taking a shower. With the bathroom fan off, the steam from the hot water completely covers the mirror and the air is humid enough that any dry bits on the mirror become so hydrated that they are quickly wiped off. So something that normally took me fifteen minutes of scraping and wiping only took a couple of minutes! Why did I not think of this earlier?

Unfortunately, it is bad for your bathroom to shower without the fan on. It promotes mould growth and probably doesn't do your paint any good either.

Yeah, I tend to use the fan whenever I do take a shower. Hopefully if I make these steam cleaning sessions as infrequently as possible then it will not be a problem.
