On my drive home from work, traffic had slowed down near my condo on the main artery down to the building. It took several minutes of stop and go traffic before I saw what had occurred. An SUV had lost control and parked itself on the pedestrian island that was in the middle of the street. The roads were a bit slippery, and someone might've been trying to cross at that time. Sudden movements plus slippery conditions equals bad outcome (usually).
On the way to work this morning, there was another traffic slowdown. This time a equipment truck had blocked one of the lanes so that workers could tape off the area. There was enough damage to the island that it was probably not that safe to use.

I got a set of Mensa logic puzzles for Christmas from the guys at work. I've been going through them fairly slowly. I've been stuck on one for a while. (I went ahead and tried a bunch afterward and they were easier.) I'll let you guys try it for yourselves.

Derelict and crew had some pizza from Pizza Hut and was mentioning how greasy it was. I haven't had Pizza Hut for a while (mostly because of the grease factor) but I decided to look up the "nutritional content" of their food and compare it with the "nutrition content" from McDonald's. After a gross comparison of their pepperoni and meat lover's slices, we concluded that a Big Mac was equivalent to about two medium slices of pepperoni pizza. (Three if you include the medium fries.) Switch to the meat lover's pizza and two medium slices would be about the same as a Double Big Mac!
Ugh, maybe I'll just munch on the salad sans dressing.

Hmm, the bills have come in and I suddenly realized that I'll have to be very frugal for the next year or so to pay off for those three big things that I'm getting this year: new eyes, new teeth, and a new bike.
Well, hopefully I won't have to worry about anything else for a while after that. But I'll either have to find some more money, or find more ways to save money..
