[12:06 AM EST - Is XML the answer?]

I've been looking at a way to standardize all of my data files and came across a simple thought: Why not convert everything to XML?

Well, one reason is because I want to stuff everything into a database, so why bother with XML? Why should I use XML over a database? Maybe they're not mutually exclusive?

There are some obvious limitations with my current storage scheme (which spawned from the original method that my site actually displayed the entries). Using XML/XSLT will make my life a lot simpler and cut down on the PHP.

Hmm.. I'll have to give it some thought.
