[3:20 PM EST - Tastes kind of gross actually.]

I just got back from the orthodontist and I still have a bad taste in my mouth. They had molds taken of my teeth, and they used this paste that looked, felt and smelt like bubble gum, but tastes kind of gross. It's non-toxic, but if they had made it taste good, I guess the kids would be swallowing the stuff?

Bah, I've got lots done today, but I'm going to be a busy boy it seems. The stuff never ends!

[3:59 PM EST - Lasers in their freaking eyes..]

I got up early this morning because I left my alarm on. I needed to get up anyway since I had an appointment with the optometrist, but it's annoying not to have any extra sleep on my day off.

Anyhoo, I got to the office on time, hung around for a bit, and then went in for the checkup. Apparently my eyes haven't changed much, which is good. I inquired about laser surgery and my optometrist is pro-laser, so he suggested that I go and talk to a specialist about it who will answer all my questions. During the routine, he gave me some eye drops to dilate my pupils.

I was given some time so that the drug would take effect, so I went to find out what to do with my phone. I found a booth in the mall and was told to ship it back and claim it under warranty. Sounds good to me, so long as I know who the heck to ship it to. (I feel a runaround coming.)

When I got back to the office, I took a look in the mirror and noticed that my eyes were half dilated. It looked kind of freaky because the pupils didn't shrink when the brightness changed.

I hung around for a bit more before looking in the mirror and noticed that my eyes were completely dilated! It's such a freaky look! I should make a video and combine it with crazy clips and a murmuring background noise.

Wait, I think that's been done before.

In any case, I got a haircut, and then I went out to lunch with girl and a couple of her co-workers.

Then I came back home and went to the orthodontist for a consultation. It seems like that there's enough space in my jaw to fit all of my teeth, but it'll take over two years of brace wearing to fix my teeth. Two years! I'll be in my mid-thirties when the retainer comes out. Craziness.

There were a couple of things I found out though. When I was talking to the orthodontist, I found out that you can reclaim part of your medical expenses on your income tax return.

My optometrist was telling me how diet could help reduce my allergy symptoms. I did a quick check and came up with this page.
