[1:09 AM EST - Resolving this name.]

Ah, I had some problems with my name servers being wiped out on the server. I found this thread helpful.

[1:22 AM EST - This pop is hot!]

Yeah! I finally got the hotway program to work. Mind you, it took me several hours to test. The key was to enable the host.allow for hotwayd for localhost, and make sure that the daemon was running, and things started to cook! I just need to clean it up a bit.

Anyway, I can now pull mail from both my hotmail accounts. Now once I start pulling from my Gmail account, I should have everything centralized.. (And I can get rid of that freePOPs setup I've got on my work PC.)

[1:31 AM EST - In Case of Emergency.]

Oh, I think I forgot to mention this. A few months ago at the last zone meeting I attended, one of the paramedics mentioned the use of an ICE number on a person's cell phone. I thought that it was a good idea and added it to my cell.

[9:41 AM EST - A day to remember.]

It's Remembrance Day today. I've remembered my poppy.

[Sunday, November 13, 2005: Then there were three.]

I spent the night setting up my last computer on the network. It didn't take long for me to fire up and link to the LAN. It immediately started downloading critical updates to the system and I spent the rest of the night keeping track of the patches that it was making to the system. I also realized that the machine was only used for one purpose which my server could probably do better since it was on line all the time. All I'd have to do is put a bigger drive in there and I would be set!

But I always want a backup machine on hand just in case anything happens to my primary PCs..
