[Saturday, December 17, 2005: Shopping for a mount.]

I went shopping for a couple of Christmas gifts during lunch, but we still have a few more presents to get.

I also spent the entire night trying to get my server to boot on it's own again. I was lucky that it was able to boot off of CD, but after a few hours, the CD-ROM started acting up: It wouldn't stay closed. This made it difficult to boot from CD, which made it nigh-impossible to get a system running on it that I could use to mount the hard drive and make the necessary changes to the configuration files I needed to make (and reconfigure the kernel to recognize those changes).

I gave up on the server and worked on some bills that I had to pay. It's amazing how much money is needed to keep a residence up and comfortable. There's the condo fees, the electricity bill, the phone bill, the Internet bill, the mortgage, the insurance bill, it keeps going on and on! I should keep track of these bills at some point in time..
