Well, I just found out that the patrol was given a little present: We don't have to patrol this Christmas! I was scheduled for the entire Sunday shift, so this was a nice bonus. (In addition to the schedule reorganization that dropped me from New Year's.)
So I decided to help out a fellow patroller who wasn't able to patrol all of Saturday. Ah, life is great.

I was planning to sign a few cheques and do a bit of shopping today. I didn't really have anything else planned, but time gets filled up as usual whenever I start doing stuff.
I headed off to DE's place to sign some cheques and was informed that the signage authority transfer wasn't going to be taking place today. Well, there goes that. So instead, we (including SR) went out for lunch. I had planned to meet up with Dangerman so I could pass along his present, but our meeting went late so he came by the restaurant for the pickup.
After lunch, I went to do a bit of shopping and while I was wandering around, I bumped into Dangerman and MG! What the hey?
Well, I hooked up with them and wandered around the mall a bit before Dangerman pulled me out to N's place to get a hair cut. The hair cut(s) took quite some time so I spent most of it going through the paper and doing some Sudoku puzzles.
Afterward, we hooked up with girl and went out for dinner. That's when we got a call from Pokey who asked us out for bubble tea. Seeing as I wasn't really dressed for the occasion (or any occasion for that matter) I decided to check to see if I had to patrol tomorrow before I made my choice to go home to change before going out.
Oh, girl also got me a new scarf.
Anyway, Dangerman drove me back to their place and that's when I found out about the reduction in my patrol time, so I figured that I could come out. He drove me to MG's place to pick up some stuff before dropping me off at my car.
And now I'm back and I found out that I got two packages! (I got two messages about getting a package, but I thought the second message was for reminding me of the first package.) So I got my Quicktax and new ski jacket! Woot!
I was a little disappointed that the jacket didn't come with the ski patrol insignia, but it was on sale so I can't complain that much.
So yeah, I've got to change and go now.

Oh, once I had finished off those Sudoku puzzles, I found another puzzle in the newspaper. It's called Kakuro and it's something I think I've seen in puzzle books before. I'll probably start doing more as I find them..

Pokey had invited us for dessert so I figured that I would tag along since I didn't have to wake up early to patrol on Saturday. I got there late, as usual, so I didn't order any food (well, add to that the fact that the food is mighty expensive) but I did get some chai.
I met a couple of guys who apparently knew BL! Will wonders never cease? The only highlight was the girl who sat across from our table. I didn't notice her until she passed our table and after that glimpse I wanted to see more. Dangerman told me to go up to her table and talk to them (there were three girls at the table), but my shyness took over and I refused to comply. (Besides, what the heck would I say? "Hey baby, aren't I really.. hip?")
Bah, but I was kicking myself half an hour later. Bah! Dangerman thought that she was a bit chubby though, and went against the PBB theory. Ah well!
