[4:20 PM EST - Patrol eve.]

I just got back from patrolling and apparently I've got a party to go to. I don't think I ever got word of this party, but then again, my e-mail was down for a while, and my e-mail address is hosed, so that may explain it.

[Tuesday, December 27, 2005: A bit of money, a bit of skiing, a bit of singing, a bit of poker.]

The plan was to meet up at a mall, get the cash back, head out to the hill for a few hours of skiing, and then head back to the party. Well, I was expecting a wake up call, but it never came. Apparently, she wanted me to call her to wake her up instead! (But she didn't leave a message because my phone "didn't" work.) Bah.

In any case, we agreed to meet, but I knew that I was going to be late for that and skiing. I had to spend some time wrapping up the presents before I left so I had no chance of making it on time. When I got there, I met.. I forgot his name now! Oh well, but I would not have thought that they were related. At least she was happy. Relatively happy I guess. Actually, she seemed kind of pissed of except for the money thing. Ah, it doesn't matter. I didn't stick around for very long before I headed to the hill(s).

I was late, of course. But I had a good time out there. There were way more patrollers on the hill than I had expected and a lot less people. Since I left the hill early, I had a bit of time to go home to drop off my equipment before heading up to the party.

The party was okay. The highlight was the family karaoke which featured VW's beats and JW's "Jusher" performance. I stuck around afterward to play poker with the rest of the gamblers. I didn't win. In fact, I was the second person to get kicked out, but I spent the rest of the night as the dealer. I had more fun dealing the cards than I had losing my money.

I ended up driving VW, JW, and KW home. On the way to JW's place, I was driving down the street on the overpass over the highway and was surprised to see a pair of headlights appear on the on ramp onto the highway! I had flashbacks to last month when some lady was driving up the wrong way on the on ramp. But this on ramp was only one lane wide, so I couldn't figure out how the car could've come up..

Apart from that crazy driving incident (and that car that was going over 180 kph down the 404) the ride was fairly uneventful. I didn't come home until late, and when I did, I watched a bit of Initial D before heading to bed.
