Whoa, traffic really got heavy around my place this morning. I guess people left work early on Tuesday so I didn't realize how many people would be in the area when I left for work. There were a bunch of kids as well. Is it me or are they getting fatter?

My antihistamines aren't kicking in this morning. I had bought Aerius because it was on sale, and it's been fairly good so far, but as the fall allergy season progresses, we'll see how effective it is when it gets really bad..

I made some quick phone calls and messages over the day to get something organized so that I could pick up that queen sized bed that Laz wanted to get rid of. The only piece he was missing was the box spring mattress, so I had to do a bit of searching for that. Fortunately, there were a number of people selling queen sized box springs, so I found one near where Laz lived and gave the guy a shout.
So after getting a pickup time arranged for tomorrow, I checked with Laz and found out that tomorrow wasn't very good, so I had it rescheduled for tonight, right after soccer.
Soccer was okay, but the vast majority of the people who said that they would come bailed. We had a total of four show up, which was less than last time. Ah well.
Derelict and I went to go and pick up the box spring. It was is fairly good condition, so I decided that the price was right. We stuck the mattress on the truck and headed to Laz's place. That's when we realized that he had a lot of stuff: the mattress, the wooden frame, and the metal frame. Yay. This took some effort to fit everything in so that it wouldn't fall out of the truck and/or put holes in either mattress.
The trip back was fairly uneventful. We were able to move everything into my room and then we went out for (a late) dinner. I went back to my place and started putting the bed together. I got as far as putting the wooden frame in place, but I'll need more time to get it fixed. I'll also need to clean the mattresses before I actually finish putting it together. (Not to mention to get a bed sheet that will fit.)
