[Tuesday, September 6, 2005: Homeless and Hungry.]

I spent the afternoon sweeping the floor and cleaning the kitchen. It's surprising how much crap collects around a small apartment within a week.

I drove up to Dangerman's place to pick up the Xbox. On the way there, I noticed this cute girl standing in the middle of the street on one of those traffic islands. She was holding a sign but I didn't see anything else around to indicate that some sort of car wash event going on around there. (It was a nice day for one.) After picking up the console, I drove back and saw her standing on the island still. This time I noticed that she was wearing all black with some torn fishnet stockings. The sign she held read:

Homeless and Hungry
God Bless

Just as I stopped in the turn lane, a police car showed up going the other way, so she put down the sign and tried to look inconspicuous. I'm pretty sure that the cops noticed, but I was out of there before anything happened. Part of me wanted to ask her why she was there, but then..

Anyway, I went by that intersection on the way to hockey but she was long gone, and there wasn't any trace of her.

Hockey was okay, but I wasn't playing all that well. I was tired and feeling a little bloated. The allergies didn't help either considering that I didn't take any antihistamines today. It was our first night game since the beginning of the summer, and we went out for food afterward. I really should have gotten more sleep..
