[4:36 PM EDT - That's a lot of rain..]

Whoa, we just got hit by some heavy thundershowers just now. I walked into the other office to chat with the boys about some issues and it got loud outside. The lightning was flashing and the thunder was roaring. It was also raining very heavily. KM mentioned that they were getting flooded out in Brampton, and we were next.

No sooner did he mention that, when it began to hail. At first, it was a little bit, but when it started building up, I had to see it for myself so I went downstairs. GWG came down with me and we watched as the rain started coming down sideways, with hail peppering all the cars in the parking lot. (I parked under the covered area.)

We stood there for a few minutes before heading downstairs (to the underground parking lot) to get back to the elevator. As we were heading to the elevator, I noticed that the area near the garage door was flooded. Water was leaking in from the outside. I waved GWG over, and as soon as he saw the lake, a car headed out the door. The door opened and a wave of water rushed through the opening and headed in our direction. We had to run to get out of the way. It made it within three meters of the ramp down to the lower level, so it was pretty darned close to flooding the second parking lot.

We went back up to take a look from the main floor and gawked at all the cars trying to drive through the foot of water on the road. There's no way I was going to be driving out in these conditions.

I went back down to the basement to double check the flooding. That's when I noticed that one of the electrical boxes was leaking. That wasn't a good sign. We got out of there fast.

Anyway, it's eased off now. But I've been told that another big storm is on it's way. Oh joy.

[5:53 PM EDT - So let the sun shine in..]

There was a large break in the clouds where our building is located, so we had some time when we were getting heavy rain and extremely bright sunshine. That's an interesting situation. The roads are still pretty wet, and there are some areas that are still quite flooded. I'm not sure how bad the roads are right now but I'm not looking forward to getting on the roads..
