[Monday, July 19, 2004: 2004 midseason tournament: Day 1.]

I got up early this morning, but not early enough to get food and shower. I had just enough time to hop out of bed and rush down to the fields. I parked in the usual spot and found the rest of my team pretty easilly. The weather was hot and sunny, but we had a very large tree next to our field (we played all of our games at that field) and so we were always able to find shelter from the hot sun.

We did okay. We didn't play as well as we should've, but we did end up winning our first two games. I played okay. But I was never fully full for most of the day. There were free fruit, water, and bagels that were handed out by the club, but this year I noticed a distinct lack of chocolate chip bagels. I was quite disappointed.

We got a couple of new players play with us for the tournament. Most of them were girls. But they were all welcome additions to the team.

After our set of games, we went to watch the ninjastars play their games. I went to pick up food first before hiding in the trees to eat since there was no shade at their field. This lead to the unfortunate side effect of hiding in the forest: bug bites. I was feasted on while I was feasting on my sausage and burger. They're still itchy. *scratches*

We did make an ice cream bet with the team that we lost to today. But we weren't able to find them and so a few of us ended up going to ice cream on our own. Only DWC, TM, and LH came out for some ice cream/gellato.

Afterward, I went home, took a shower, and crashed.
