[5:16 PM EST - Kinda chilly eh?]

It's starting to get pretty cold. Funny, being November and all. Anyway, I'm skipping out on hockey today since I'm going to watch "The Mousetrap" tonight. I did tutor today, and we're going out for dinner. But apart from that, not much..

[Sunday, November 3, 2002: The Mousetrap.]

I got up pretty late because I went to sleep late last night. The plan was to go downtown for dinner before catching the show. I had to tutor today, so I missed out on going to the.. uh.. Woman's convention thing downtown. Whatever. (<imoen>I care not.</imoen>)

Anyhoo, we made it down to the restaurant without a hitch. The DVP was closed and there was a hockey game on tonight so the streets were packed with cars. We still made it on time.

This was one of the more fancier restaurants so I was convinced not to show up in jeans and a T-shirt. (I did end up going in a jean jacket however.)

As we were ordering, the waitress came up to my dad and asked if he was ready to order. He said:

"Yes. Where is the washroom?"

After that, he asked where the theatre was. I don't know about you, but usually when you're ready to order, don't you order food rather than ask for directions?

The food was pretty good, and since I was paying the bill, I decided that I might as well splurge and get an appetizer. (A six dollar soup.) The soup was good. It tasted like tomato sauce basically. The rest of the meal was pretty good, but I filled up on bread to get my money's worth. *eats another slice*

Afterward, we headed out to the theatre to watch "The Mousetrap". As we were walking, I commented as to how the whole area looked residential. There were houses everywhere, which made it an awfully strange spot to put up a theatre. As I was counting the house numbers, I was surprised to see a big gap in the houses, and there it was: The theatre. *looks around* It WAS in the middle of a residental area. How odd.

We wandered into the building and Dangerman and I noted that it looked more like a renovated church rather than a true theatre. The seats were pews sans hymn books and it smelt like a church. It was cozy though, and we quickly found seats at the front. (It was a pretty tiny theatre.)

The play was pretty good, and during the intermission, we huddled together to figure out who was whom and who the culprit was. We all had different theories, but having read Agatha Christie stories before, I went out on a limb and apparently I was right!

There was some shock moments which cause the entire row in front of me to move as a wave. It was quite funny actually to see so many people move at once in all different directions.

After the show, girl, Dangerman and I went downtown to meet up with Laz and Tenshi for some dessert.
