[1:14 PM EDT - Warm quickie.]

Just throwing something up just to prove that I'm still alive. This is a roundabout connection so it can't stay up long. Must get back to work. Boy is it ever HUMID down here!

[Wednesday, August 21, 2002: Dream Sequence: Hurricane season?]

I got up on time this morning, which is earlier than usual for me. The planes coming in and out as well as the air conditioner turning on and off got me up. I guess once I get used to it I'll be able to sleep through it all. But I doubt that two nights are enough. They had a continental breakfast and I was amazed to find that they had waffle makers in the lobby. I decided to try it out. Not too shabby.. too bad they didn't have butter or maple syrup. Only this table syrup crap which is basically sugary water. (Or watery sugar?)

I had a strange dream last night. I drempt that I was caught in a huge storm with tornados, except that I wasn't afraid. In fact I wanted to see these tornados up close and first hand. So I ran into the city and

I got into the car and was amazed that it was still cold! Holy.. this tiny car was amazing at retaining cold! Well, I guess there wasn't much sunlight so I there wasn't any greenhouse effect, but still, I expected the car to at least be at ambient temperature..

I made it to the office without a hitch. The street I was looking for last night happened to be right next to the hotel! Argh! No wonder why I kept missing it! I was introduced to the group and began my job. It didn't take long for me to set up the computers and test it out a bit. Lunch went by quickly and I basically got everything set up that I wanted set up. I even got to do some extra coding as well.

I was invited out to dinner with one of the clients so I decided to take up the offer since I didn't have anything else to do (apart from find post cards and code). I ended up meeting the family and neighbours. The food was good (tuna and mahi mahi?) and I made it back at a fairly good time.
