For some reason, there was very little traffic on the streets today near the office. Normally the last leg of my trip to work is a slow and sordid affair, where I would need to keep an eye on the space in front of me lest overzealous drivers decide that the minuscule gap between me and the car in front of me was too tempting a target for their line skipping ways. Where traffic is backed up beyond the eye can see and space is at a premium.
There was virtually no traffic in my turn lane, and there was a large gap in traffic. A gap in traffic! How often does that happen during the morning rush? So far: once.
