I was driving to work this morning and was on one of the on ramps for the highway when I saw a silver SUV suddenly appear perpendicular to the flow of traffic. Now the first thought that crossed my mind was "Why the heck would anyone try to make a U-turn on an on ramp?" with thoughts of that incident last month. Of course, I wiped those thoughts away with a much more obvious reason: The car lost control and swerved into the other lane (there were two lanes of traffic).
Very soon after, I saw the SUV appear again, this time it had slid into the median, and traffic in my lane came to a stop. I did a quick scene survey and realized that the lady who was driving the SUV was very lucky indeed. The car that she swerved in front of only bumped the rear quarter panel on the driver side, so both drivers of both cars (which had no passengers) seemed alright. (They were getting out to look at the damage.) I figured that my services weren't needed, so I moved on.
Traffic will be bad in that spot for a while though.
