[Sunday, February 6, 2005: Another long shift.]

I was worried about today, since there would be a shortage of patrollers due to the comp, and the weather was looking to be very good, indicating that the hill would be very busy. On top of that, this day has had some history..

Anyway, I got up, and it was great weather, so I headed to the hill. On the way there, I ended up hitting some fog, which quickly turned into pea soup and made driving exceptionally dangerous. But as quickly as it had appeared, it went away, and by the time I made it to the hill, it was bright, warm, and sunny. I guess the resort was at a high enough elevation to be above the fog, and the sun helped a lot.

The shift was busy. We had tons of people come in, but somehow we were able to manage it. Somehow. I did end up staying an extra half shift to help out at night, and we had a number of incidents then too, but things seemed to be okay.

Just as the hill closed, the fog rolled in, and driving back home was like swimming through pea soup. You could barely see the car in front of you! (And that's with the lights on!)

Anyway, I was able to make it back alive, but on the way, I passed an accident, and an T intersection where a car had run through the road sign indicating that the driver needs to turn either left or right.

Oh, I ended up going to my aunt's place for dinner, but I really didn't do much apart from eat and lie down as I was way too tired.
