Man, I actually let the radio play for a little while before getting out of the bed. Maybe watching the world poker championships last night might've had something to do with it. Geez, I really shouldn't touch that brain numbing machine. *eyes television*
Anyway, Austin wasn't that interesting. I got to the city and spent half an hour finding parking. (Actually, there was tons of parking, I just didn't have any change so I couldn't park on the street). Anyway, the idea was to walk down sixth street and check out what it was like. Well, it was just a little.. dead. HT warned me that it was dead when he went, but I figured with school in and Halloween approaching, there would be more action. Nope. I guess they're all studying for midterms? Either that or they're all hiding somewhere else.
Ah well, I did check out the capitol, but that's about it. Then I headed back to the hotel.

I finally got to try out some home made pecan pie during lunch. It was very good! It's much more pecany than the stuff you get from the store. I'll definitely have to pick up some pecans before I head back home.
After work, I decided to pick myself up a cowboy hat. So I wandered down to one of those stores that sells some western clothing. It also sold a lot of horse equipment so I wandered around in that part of the section for a little while before checking out the hats. For some odd reason, I was convinced to pick up one of the most expensive hats there! (Ouch!) Ah well, I guess I'll have to wear the darned thing. Man is it ever large! *tips hat*
Afterward, I decided to check out the "best Chinese food in town". *shrugs* The food was okay, but I was chuckling when I had to ask for chopsticks.
