[1:42 PM EST - Maybe a little Rice Krispies isn't enough.]

Man, I'm starving here. Food's been ordered though, so it should be okay. Eventually. The plan is to go to the Canadian Auto Show tonight and.. that's about it. I forgot to throw up a link from MJO on an interview with Chuck Noris. I didn't realize that he was only 168lb when he arrived in Rome to film 'Way of the Dragon'.

[Sunday, March 2, 2003: The Canadian International Auto Show.]

I went downtown with DL and some of his friends to see the Auto Show. My automotive background was a little lacking, so I was glad to go with people who actually knew stuff about cars (apart from knowing how to drive them). We ended up going downtown and having a bit of food first where we met up with A. I didn't realize he was coming down too, but hey, weirder things have happened.

The show was pretty big, and since we spent a lot of time waiting for our food, we didn't get a lot of time to actually see the cars. There were a LOT of cars to see, and then there were the aftermarket things that they wanted to see (which I didn't really care for since I didn't even have a car).

After seeing all of these cars, I basically got the impression that you needed a fair bit of cash to get a really decent car. If you buy cheap, you're missing out on something. One thing I don't really mind is power. The way that I drive, having power isn't that much of a benifit. So something like a Civic should fit me nicely. Once I get money, then I'd be looking at an upgrade.

I did get some tips on what to get and what to do when getting a new car. I forgot his name now. Crap. Anyhoo, he suggested that to keep costs down, I shouldn't get a BMW or Mazda, or a disel engine since the replacement parts will kill me, and if I was truly interested in buying a car, I should go to the news groups and see what they say first about it. Good advice.

Anyway, as the place was closing, DL suggested that I meet up with the guys I came in with and leave with them. Unfortunately, they were at the front of the north building, and I was at the south end of the south building. Great. I tried to take the bus to reduce the travel time (since it was about a ten minute walk through the buildings), but the journey was so long! Everyone was starting to leave, so by the time I got to the entrance of another building, security wouldn't let me inside. I decided to walk to the front anyway, but by the time I got there, the place was empty. I hung around at the entrance for half-an-hour before I headed back home on the Rocket.
