[12:00 AM EST - Klutzy.]

Ick. I was spooning rice into my bowl this evening when the steam from the pot set off a number of automatic receptors in my hand. The sudden twitch sent grains or rice flying all over the stove and onto the ground. While I was reaching up for a cup, I ended up knocking out a couple of cups (plastic fortunately) which fell out and hit the table. One of them actually hit the rice and sent more grains of rice spraying all over the counter. While trying to clean up the rice, I ended up knocking a jar of soup and splashed some of it's contents over the counter. I decided that it was time to leave the kitchen.

[Sunday, February 9, 2003: Busy day. Busy night.]

I got up early this morning because I had to go and patrol early. The day went by quicker than I had expected actually. The weather was bitterly cold in the morning, but it gradually warmed up and it stayed sunny while I was there, so it was all good. I really should get some more practice skiing and doing first aid though. Then again, I'm always saying that.

Afterward, I rushed out (a little early) because I had to tutor right afterward. I was only fifteen minutes late (after taking the highway). That went by pretty quickly too. I need to get brushed up on some geometric proofs and the like.

I went home for dinner and a break (playing Civ III) before heading out to play hockey. The game was actually very close at the beginning. It was pretty much tied until the last half-hour of the game. (At which point it basically became one-sided.) I didn't play all too well though. I think the lack of sleep and all of that skiing may have had something to do with it.

"The opposite of the religious fanatic is not the fanatical atheist but the gentle cynic who cares not whether there is a god or not."
