Oi. My one biggest gripe about winter is the lack of moisture. The dry, arid air stings my skin and chaps my lips. These I can handle. (It also works wonders for anyone with acne.) What's nearly unbearable is the constant presence of static electricity. Every motion, every action is accompanied by an exchange of electrons. Unnoticeable during the summertime when the damp, moist air carries away the extra charge, but on these cold, dry days the population builds up until a chance encounter allows the sea of negative charge to flood in/out of your system. Shocks are annoying, and the worst part is that you can anticipate a lot of them. Leaving the car, pulling your sweater off, or trying to ease an itch against the back of your chair. Very, VERY annoying.

Oh, I wanted to put this link up earlier but got sidetracked by work. (As usual.) I got the original link at ArsTechnica.
