This lack of sleep is going to kill me I tells you! *shakes fist* Fortunately I don't have too much planned for this weekend. At least nothing that requires me getting up before nine (although I probably will still get up before nine by force of habit).
Hockey was fairly good. It started off good but near the end, while I was backing up with defence, the guy I was defending passed the puck by me and I saw something fly into the air and land on the ground. It looked to me as if he knocked off some sort of ring, like one of those you find on those Club Monaco backpacks, so I bent down to pick it up. It was glass. In fact.. *closes one eye and the world goes blurry* Argh! It was one of my lenses! How the heck did it come off? Well, it seems as if the screw came loose and out popped the lens. I was pretty lucky that the lens didn't break when it hit the ice, and that nobody skated over it, and that the screw was still in the socket when I checked my glasses.
Now, as I was trying (unsuccessfully) to put my lens back in, the screw fell out. Oops. I went down on the ice to look for it, and had little luck but fortunately someone else spotted it. I was also lucky that one of the employees there had recently had a lens pop out as well and happened to carry one of those mini-screwdrivers for this type of situation. Lucky!
Anyway, back to the Potter world..
