[5:04 PM EST - X-Halo.]

I've been reading some of the reviews on the ShackNews, and the general concensus is that Halo rocks. The fact that you can play it co-operative as well means that it may be the only other FPS game that as a good co-op component since System Shock 2. Of course, the price tag on the X-Box is a little steep..

Oh yeah, Dead or Alive 3 is pretty darned good too. I think I'm going to rent both and try before I buy..

[10:54 PM EST - Foggy morning.]

As was expected, my plans for this morning never panned out. My alarm went off at four this morning and I got out of bed. That wasn't as hard as I had expected actually. Anyway, before I got ready, I peeked out the window to see what the weather conditions were like. The sky was pink. That's not a good sign. There was so much fog around, that it was impossible to see anything up in the sky. Even if I did drive out to the resort, the fog would only get worse. Well, at least that's what my tired body was telling me. After several minutes of looking at the sky and pacing in my room, I gave in and went back to bed.

I had no problem getting up to go to field day. As I had predicted, it was foggy all the way there, and pea soup would be the best description for the conditions at the hill. The fog did clear by noon, and the weather was actually quite balmy. This is a great indian summer we're having, but from what I heard, there should be a cold snap on Tuesday. Field day was pretty good too. We got to do a lot of practice, and we learned some stuff about our hill. We even had someone try to get airborne by running down the pipe with a parachute! (No luck. Not enough wind.) A pretty good day indeed.
