I went to Fathers after the Ski Patrol thing tonight. Well, last night I guess. The lesson went fairly well, I got signed up to help out at the Lakeridge Ski Swap next Saturday so hopefully I'll be able to find a good deal on a set of skis (and maybe a snowboard). I'm also going to be doing some CPR training this Saturday. Man, to be a first response type person.. I dunno, I just can't see myself in that type of role. (Yet.)

Holy crap, time sure flies when it's a short week. Hee hee. But really, it's the middle of October. Where has the summer gone? *looks out window* Keeping busy might make you lose track of time I guess. I'll be looking back to this day five years from now and wonder what the heck happened in between. Ah well. Time to enjoy the present.

I got e-mail just before I left work about a slot for the shinny hockey game tonight. I was quite excited that I had gotten the message so quickly since it was first come first serve, so I left a message. On the way home, I came up behind this minivan that was going awfully slowly. Sure, it was raining and slippery, but he (she?) was trotting around like a tortoise. I stayed behind the car since my street wasn't that far off. So there I was, coasting behind this van when we came upon a four-way stop. The van didn't stop. It just cruised (at it's slow speed) through the stop sign much to the surpise of me, and probably for the driver of the car (who was ready to cross the street) sitting next in the queue. Madness. I guess the average speed would be about the same.
Dang, my nose is itchy.
Anyway, the moment I got home, I remembered that I couldn't go to hockey since I didn't have access to the car tonight! Doh! Oh well, I ended up canceling the hockey thing, but I went out for KK's birthday dinner. Shoot, I forgot the name of the restaurant, but there were two points of interest. The first was the fact that there were at least eight other birthday boys/girls at the restaurant because the waiters came out to sing happy birthday to eight different groups throughout the night. Actually, a couple sang to the first few groups with the aid of a miniblaster, but eventually it degraded to just a short "happy birthday" clip from the stereo without any accompaniment
The other interesting point was that I bumped into someone I recognized. It was one of the workers at the Mr. Sub I frequent. I was surprised that he recognized me! (I'm surprised that I recognized him!) Ah well, that's about it. I should go to bed soon. Gotta get up early tomorrow for CPR.
