[9:11 AM EDT - It's still all in the wrist.]

I did a number to my right wrist last night. I've been playing with it injured for a couple months now, but I think I overdid it last night. After a few swings, I had to stop. I ended up playing the rest of the night with my left hand, which was actually quite fun, but my right wrist will need some rehab if I expect it to heal any time soon. CL convinced me that things don't heal if I keep using (and abusing) them, so I'm going to take it easy for the next month. I might need to find something to immobilize the wrist, but we'll see how things go after a week..

[12:12 PM EDT - Well, that was a failure.]

I went to get my GT-S emissions tested and it failed pretty handily. I don't think I'll be reregistering it, and I offered it to R since there was no way I would be able to get it back up and running again.

In any case, I still have the car for the next couple of days. This will be a last call for anyone who wants to learn stick in my car since after this week, I won't have a car to teach people in!

[Thursday, July 7, 2005: A new toaster.]

My parents got me a new toaster oven when I went back to pick up the car. This thing is huge! It's not all that heavy, but it's definitely larger than I had expected. (They showed me a picture and I sort of agreed to getting it without paying much attention to it.) Well, at least I've got space in the kitchen for it and a microwave. I'll just have to finish cleaning it up sooner! (It's mostly clean now, although it keeps getting filled with junk with the stuff that keeps coming in.)

I also picked up the old laptop to see if I could get Castle Wolfenstein and Beyond Castle Wolfenstein working on it. Unfortunately, even the 486/25 was much too fast for the game. Running a time slowing program didn't help much since the slowdown wasn't smooth. I think I'll just give up on the idea of playing those two classics.
