[Sunday, February 16, 2003: Curling hockey.]

I got up early this morning and ended up finishing my Civ III scenerio. I had completely forgotten that it was a scenerio and went off trying to take over the world before suddenly being stopped by the computer which stated that I had failed (miserably). Ah well, I won't go back to the game. It sucked out too much of my time as is.

I went to tutoring today, and came back home to find out that curling was at seven. The plan was to go curling with girl, Dangerman, Laz, Growly, and GT. theMediaman couldn't make it unfortunately. On the way to the club, I got stuck in a huge traffic jam and was worried that I might be late, so I called in. Well, apparently they were running even MORE late, so I didn't feel so bad, although this also meant that we were going to waste a fair bit of precious ice time.

[Return to Avonlea.]

girl suggested that we all go out and try some curling. I was gung ho for the idea after trying it out last year and enjoying it. One would nominally play with eight players, but unfortunately the Mediaman and SF weren't able to show up.

Follow the heads from the left: Me, Dangerman, Laz, GT, girl, and Growly.

This was my second time curling (my first time was last year). It was pretty fun actually, and even though all my shots didn't do what I wanted them to do, everyone seemed to have a good time. I was going to sit in on dinner for a little while, but I was pressed for time and had to go to hockey.

The game was tough, and I didn't play that well, and we ended up losing. Ah well, I guess we'll finish the series next week. Wait, I won't be available next week!
