MJNL and I went to watch Rock of Ages last night. We heard from a co-worker that it was good and we wanted to check it out. (There was also a sale going on so we picked up some cheaper tickets.) We ended up in the second row, darned close to the stage, which may have been a little too close, but the show was very entertaining, and the theatre was packed. I knew basically all of the songs they sang, and the action and jokes were constant so there was no moment where it felt like there was a lull.
I would say that it was one of the better shows that I have seen, although I did grow up listening to 80's music..
