[9:54 AM EDT - A case to think about.]

So I have been looking at getting a case/bag for my new iPad. MJNL thinks that it would be a good idea to protect it since I tend to drag it around with me now and then. I have not found anything that really caught my eye, but something along the lines of a wallet and bag seem about right. Heck, if the wallet had a strap and did not look so notebook like I probably would have liked it. (That and the prices for these things are nuts!)

[1:04 PM EDT - Petrichor.]

So I have been wondering what that smell was when it first starts raining, and apparently there were some guys who researched it and gave it a name: 'Petrichor'.

And now for something completely different, I have had many discussions with MJNL about blackhead extraction and I keep insisting that one must wash their face first before looking for blackheads. She believes that you need to extract before washing. Of course she always wins and I end up with a red nose. (I wonder if she's doing more than just blackheads.)

[Monday, July 26, 2010: Gassy Jazz.]

MJNL and I went down to The Beach to partake in the Jazz Festival. What was left of it I guess. I had not realized that the last day would end so soon, but we still caught part of the last two acts with Werdna. Oh yes, so we rode down to Werdna's place and dropped off our equipment so that we could ride the rocket to Kew Gardens. We figured that traffic would be bad, and carrying all of our riding gear in the park seemed quite annoying. We met up with one of Werdna's friends, who had found some shade under a tree, so we sat there for a couple of hours before heading back.

We walked to a station before Kew Gardens so we were able to get on the street car but unable to find a seat. The car filled up to capacity very quickly but a few stops down, we got a message from the conductor who told us that there was a gas leak ahead, and the streetcar would have to take a detour. Surprisingly, MJNL suggested that we walk the rest of the way back to Werdna's place. I actually was in the mood to sit, but walking is good exercise. We were able to walk down to where the gas leak was. The area was taped off, but there were plenty of pedestrians who were walking through the restricted area anyway. We decided to play it safe and walked around the hazard zone. When we got back to Werdna's place, we started to play some Lego Rock Band. The difficulty level of the songs was a little higher than I had anticipated, but still fun nonetheless. We then had dinner at Megas since we wanted something relatively healthy, and I had not had their 'moussaka' in a while.
