[Sunday, July 25, 2010: Accidental Rainy Inception.]

MJNL and I went to a podiatrist appointment this afternoon and then went to watch 'Inception' because it generally received good reviews from the papers and people we know.

Oh, as an aside, I downloaded a Movie Flix app for my iPad. Quite useful for looking up movies and movie times without having to sift through the paper or loading up a browser. They link with Rotten Tomatoes for reviews and ratings so you get a decent idea how good the movie is before checking it out. (Nothing from IMDB though.)

Yes, back to 'Inception'. The movie was good. I liked the premise, although they do not fully explain some of the concepts. There is enough explained to get you into the action and enjoy the story. It is a bit like 'The Matrix' but not as over the comicy as the Wachowski brothers' classic. I would recommend watching it, but some people might have trouble catching all the concepts before getting thrown in, and may get confused along the way: a good excuse to watch the movie again.

MJNL and I were actually supposed to watch the movie on Friday, but we were just not in the mood to go out, and the morning was a bit of a commuting disaster as well. I was dropping MJNL off at work, and was going down the final stretch of road (which usually takes a couple of minutes - that part is really fast) when we come up to a detour because there was an accident at Spadina and St. Clair. So we went around that accident, only to be rerouted again even further away because there was an accident at Bathurst and St. Clair!

In any case, we were both late to work, and that did not really start the day off well.

But this is Saturday, and after we went to watch inception, we had dinner at Hosu mostly because it was raining and it was close. We then went to the Eaton's Centre to look for a nice case for the iPad (no luck) and a coffee maker on sale at Canadian Tire (no luck). We then headed up to MIBAgentQ's place where I dropped off MJNL and I went to hockey. We had a very short bench and lost the game.
