MJNL and I went out to pick up some gel for Dangerman. I wanted to go biking since the weather was excellent for that type of physical activity, but MJNL was not in the mood to bike, so we rode instead.
After picking up a couple of bottles, we walked down and up the street to look for a place to eat. After musing for a bit, I decided on Italian, and the first restaurant that was not packed (Grazie was overflowing) was La Vecchia Ristorante. The restaurant was not full, but we were asked if we had any reservations. (It was probably around quarter to seven.) We did not, but we were seated near an area where we could put our helmets.
The service was excellent, and the food was superb. We started with a calamari salad, and I had the linguine special while MJNL had the Chilean sea bass. We finished off with a slice of chocolate truffle and tiramisu cake. Surprisingly enough, both of us left the restaurant feeling very satisfied. Not to full, and not too hungry. (Our wallet on the other hand did get hit harder than usual.)
