Today was baking day. HakkaKa had organized a baking thing last year, where the girls got together to make a lot of 'biscotti' and some other baking treats to give out to friends and family. This year the production line got a lot bigger. I did not realize the scope of the baking frenzy until I got there.
Oh, but before we got there we did a little more Christmas shopping. I nearly left my credit card at the store! (Silly me, I was admiring the card box.)
So where was I? Oh yes, so we got to the house after noon, and started helping out after lunch. There was already quite a number of goodies done in the previous week, but nothing had been packed yet, and there was still quite a lot of other stuff to make (like more biscotti, ginger snaps, cocoa mix, etc.). We finished after midnight. I (and everybody else) was ready to collapse but now we have gift boxes for all of my aunts and uncles!
I had originally thought of purchasing some, but MJNL suggested yesterday that we use these instead. Why did I not think of that myself? (Apart from the fact that these guys go bad much, much faster than the store bought gift bags which means we have to drop them off.. tomorrow!)
