[Sunday, March 22, 2009: Quickly filled up.]

We did not have many plans for today except to go to Shoppers Drug Mart to take advantage of their extra money promotion when redeeming Optimum Points. We have been waiting for this promotion to come along for a while now, and we wanted to stock up on (and replace) some goods. Other than that, there was hockey.

I wanted to find out how AL was doing, but found out that he was fine and that KaL and AL had nothing to do. So, after a bit of calling around (mostly by MJNL) we found out that half of her family was up for having sushi for dinner. We decided to take them out to Hanabi since we had been planning to introduce them to the restaurant and see if they liked good cheap sushi. After the meal, the plan was to go over to my parent's place to play Mah Jong and then I would go to hockey.

Because of the timing and how busy the restaurant gets, we told people to arrive at five. I had already started making lunch by the time dinner plans were being finalized, and coupled with the extra time we spent shopping, we were a little (about half an hour) late. Funny enough, we were the second group to arrive. MJNL's dad was already there and since we were still waiting, he used his card to give my car a car wash at a local Petro Canada. Actually, there was one really close to the restaurant, but I did not realize, until we got in, that it was actually a Coin Wash rather than a car wash. I found that coincidental since Derelict and I were talking about how few Coin Washes there were in the city.

In any case, after the wash, he went to buy some beer so we ended up back at the restaurant after the food started arriving (it was still good and warm though).

The kids went to my parent's place for Mah Jong, and we played for a couple of hours before I had to take off to hockey.

When I arrived at the rink, I was asked if I wanted to play in net. I was reluctant because, well, I am always reluctant to play in net. After no volunteers came up, RW and KN both volunteered, but it was decided to put RW in net.

After the first half-an-hour of play, I did not think we would win. We were down by four goals and I was really tired. I am not sure what happened, but all of a sudden, we clicked, and we were making some fantastic passing plays that found the back of the net. We stole the game in the end. Sweet!
