[Sunday, March 8, 2009: Second visit.]

Apparently there was not enough time to take a look at my wrist and knee last month when I went to the sports clinic to look at my shoulder so I had to make another appointment. As the clinic was only open from nine to five and closed on the weekends, and the doctor was not available during one of my short days, I took half of the day off to see him. This time the appointment was after MJNL's finishing time so I was able to pick her up before the appointment (which was late anyway).

After a quick analysis, he thinks there's an issue with the tendon connected to the lunate bone. He suggested a couple of wrist curls to extend and flex (strengthen) that muscle. Apparently the injury is related to tennis/golfer's elbow.

With regard to the knee, he thinks that it is an issue with the PFJ known as 'Patellofemoral Syndrome' which is the most common complaint by sports participants. He suggested that I get some sort of knee brace that will help the patella track better in the femoral grove.

The knee is not that big a problem with the sports I am playing with now, so I think I will concentrate on the shoulder and wrist to see if I can at least get back to playing badminton with my right arm. In fact, I have started playing some easy games with it, and it feels good being able to drop where I (mostly) want to drop the bird.

After we got home, we took a nap and headed to Asian Legend for some (late) dinner. The food was pretty good, and the prices were decent. What surprised me was the noodles they used for the won ton noodle soup. They were not the typical stringy egg noodles, but were actually more like ramen noodles. It was tasty so I am not complaining.
