[11:43 PM EST - Jewelery.]

I found out from MJNL's uncle on Sunday that Kaval Jewelers was having a store closing sale, with lots of stuff at 80% off. MJNL and I decided to check it out after work today and see what they had in stock. We took a look at a number of rings and some ear rings as well. I wanted to try out one of those Tungsten bands, but they had none that fit my finger! Also, even with 80% knocked off the price, a $30k ring is still over six grand.

In any case, we walked out with a pair of pearl ear rings, and a better idea as to what rings looked good.

[Tuesday, February 24, 2009: Weekend update.]

We didn't have much scheduled for this weekend but somehow we were quite busy the entire time. On Friday, I had the afternoon off so I had taken advantage of the break to book an appointment with a sports physician to take a look at my shoulder. His diagnosis was basically the same as Jeanious's: supraspinatus tendinopathy and impingement. The recommendation was to go to a physio therapist and get some sort of home program to make things better.

The appointment was a lot shorter than I had expected, so I did not meet up with MJNL after work. I drove around expecting to see her but headed home after getting no response from her phone. I did end up picking her up after in the end, and the two of us went to the pharmacy next door and checked out the physiotherapy clinic in the same building. We did not see anyone but took some business cards.

CF's birthday dinner at Honey's Beestro was that night so the two of us headed down to the restaurant bar somewhat later than the starting time. We were still the fourth and fifth people to show up, including CF and JB! It was good times though, even though the live band was playing right next to our table and I could not near a thing from any conversation. The food was tasty (we had the ribs and wings).

Saturday was Jeanious's birthday party in the evening, but we got a call in the morning about a brunch with MJNL's siblings since some of them would not be able to make it out that night. So the two of us went out to Moxie's for some food. The food was passable, but I was not overly impressed by it considering how much we paid.

After brunch MJNL and I went shopping at Galleria with Jeanious before dropping her off and heading home to clean up the apartment. We did not spend too much time cleaning before heading out to her parent's place. We also bought some lottery tickets for the group seeing as the jackpot was going to be a big one. We had dinner with most of her family and then headed out to Jeanious's party along with RL and his friend.

The party was being held at the Gladstone hotel, and it took us some time to find a parking spot. Even after getting the parking spot, the road signs indicated that parking was only available until midnight, and it was already quarter after eleven. They wanted to stay after midnight so MJNL and I went searching for another parking spot. It did not take us long as the adjacent street had a number of empty spots, one of which we took. The karaoke bar was not overly interesting. I think a smaller, private karaoke room would have been better, but everybody has their own preferences.

We stayed until around one when the four of us went back to my place to sleep.

The next morning we went to Nakwon for brunch and headed to Yorkdale to do some shopping. I got my skates sharpened with the free skate sharpening ticket and we drove RL and his friend back to MJNL's parent's place. The two of us shopped for a bit and stuck around for dinner. We watched the beginning of the Oscars before heading out to visit her grandmother. Then we went home.

Oh, and none of the lottery tickets won.
