Today is MJNL's birthday so I took the day off. MJNL on the other hand, had to work. This was fine since I needed time to pick stuff up, and serendipitously, I ended up getting a dermatologist appointment scheduled for this morning. (I basically got a call and was told that the appointment was at nine on Wednesday.) I decided to take advantage of the free afternoon and scheduled my regular maintenance for the car as well.
So, I dropped off MJNL, and drove to the dermatologist's office. I had a couple of moles looked at (MJNL was worried about them) and was told that they looked boring. Inquiries about removing them led to the realization that the operation could be preformed right then and there. Well, why not? So I had a couple of moles removed. The surgery was cosmetic so I had to pay for it. What I did not realize was that payment was by cash or cheque only. I normally have less than ten dollars of cash on me and never carry cheques. I'm much of a credit sort of person. (I also was not expecting to be shelling out money.)
So I had to run downstairs to grab cash from the ATM and come back up. In any case, the operation was pretty quick and relatively painless. I got home, had a bit of time to watch Battlestar Galactica, eat a couple of bananas, and drive out to my dealership. After listing all of the stuff that needed to be done to the car, I found out that it might take longer than a couple of hours, so after I went shopping for a birthday card and bath soap, they gave me a rental.
I drove home and passed by a flower shop (two actually) and picked up a bouquet of flowers. I actually stopped off at Woodside Square mall to the flower store where I picked up the rose last year but the store was gone! It was replaced by an extension of the bank. So sad. I had no idea where to find a flower shop, so when I saw those two I took advantage of the situation and stopped to.. smell the roses.
Yeah, yeah, terrible. Let me continue.
I was going to do some bath thing before MJNL got back home, but she got home early and did not call so I was caught playing Fallout 3 when she got back. Oh well.
We went out for dinner and then meet up with MIBAgentQ and BL for dessert before heading back home.
