[9:12 PM EDT - Maple Leaf Lounge.]

MJNL and I got some passes to use the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge and we decided to take advantage of it during our trip to Copenhagen. The lounge is pretty new and relaxing actually. The complementary drinks, snacks, and magazines sure make the time go by much faster. What I really like is the complementary business suite, although I did not really get to take advantage of it because my computer decided to crash.

In any case, I should get ready for my flight soon. I better get going.

[Saturday, September 6, 2008: Mela parking.]

I was able to leave work early today, which was good since I still needed to pack. Unfortunately, the power was out when I got back to the condo. I had seen the workers putting up the new hydro poles at the intersection and hoped that these changes would improve the power situation in the area (we have had unusually many power outages in the past few months).

As such, the condo was hot and stuffy, but MJNL had already done most of the packing, so I just helped finishing up some of the cleanup of the apartment. We went out to pick up some last minute supplies (avoiding the traffic caused by the hydro workers) and waited for my parents to arrive.

My parents brought a bunch of stuff, food mostly, but we could not eat most of it and sent the corn back home. We did go out for dinner at Mela though. The food was tasty, and I certainly had my fill. After the meal, MJNL realized that our parking stub was going to expire, so my dad went out to get to the car before any parking officers decided to give us a ticket. The rest of us stayed for the bill.

After we had paid, we walked towards the car, and I got a phone call from my dad. I thought he was calling to check up on us since it took us over five minutes before the bill arrived. Instead, he was asking me where the car was! I was a little shocked at first, so I quickened my pace and realized that the car was.. where it was before. I asked my dad where he went, and apparently he forgot to cross the street! He walked down several blocks before calling us in a panic.

In the end it was all good. We had a good laugh and they drove us down to the airport.
