Do people think you're taller? There are many men out there who are 5'10" or 5'11" who tell the world that they are 6'. And thus people have a skewed perception of height.

Yeah, that's exactly what happens. People ask me how tall I am and I would say "I'm five-ten" and they would look at me funny and say, "But I'm five-ten so you must be six feet!".
*shrug*
Maybe I would think differently if I were 5'8"?
