I watched her curiously as she dove through the crowd around the kiosk. My mind was still racing as to the next words out of my mouth when she emerged triumphantly from the throng. She walked over and motioned me to reach out my hand.
"Here," she proclaimed as she placed a couple of free passes into my outstretched palm.
I gave her a questioning look. "What am I going to do with these?" I inquired.
She flashed me a mischievous smile and pulled out her gloves. "Use them when you're out with a girl to have a good time," she explained as she slipped her fingers inside.
Staring at the small sheets of paper that rested in my hand I wondered when that would be. I didn't let that thought become a question as I silently slid the notes into my wallet. There was only one person I wanted to use these with, but she wanted me to save them for someone else.
I looked back up at her but she had already started walking towards the exit. "Perhaps one day, she'll say yes," I told myself as I followed her out the door.
