MJNL had to work for the day, so I had some time to myself. I spent quite a bit of it making and eating food (breakfast and lunch). I spent most of the extra time fixing the reload issue on my page. (It was really annoying me and I was losing way too many entries because of it.) Besides, it was a perfect opportunity to implement AJAX.
Now I have to figure out why the page reloads all of the AJAX links I have on the feeds page whenever I go back to it. I think I have some sort of caching issue. (Which may have been done on purpose.)
Werdna was hosting a game night at his place, but MJNL and I had a party to go to tonight so I was planning on dropping by for an hour or so before heading out west. Originally, I thought that I would go by his place, pick up MJNL, and then head to the other party, but MJNL finished early, so I picked her up, shopped for a new sink strainer, and headed home. The bathroom sink has a hole 1.25" in diameter while the bathtub had a drain that was 1.5" in diameter. I had checked both Canadian Tire and Home Depot and they both only had strainers that were 1" and 1.5" in diameter. Since the bathroom sink did not actually have a basin for a strainer, I bought a 1.5" strainer, put it into the deep bathtub drain, and reused the one I was using in the bathtub (which has a flange that allowed it to fit over a larger hole) in the bathroom sink.
I think it all works out. At least I do not have to worry about my toothbrush going down the drain..
MJNL was pretty wiped afterward, and told me to go ahead to Werdna's party on my own. So I got my stuff and was figuring out what to bring when..
I was going on my own? I could take the bike!
The weather was really nice this weekend, and I had been driving around all day (to carry MJNL and her stuff). I had not had a chance to ride for weeks, and the riding itch was certainly bothering me. But this was a perfect opportunity to take advantage of the weather, so I dusted off the bike and rode downtown.
Ah, there were many other riders who took advantage of the weather as well.
In any case, I got to Werdna's place a little late, but was the first one there. I was hoping that there would be more people as I just wanted to say "Hello" and go. But I had about an hour to kill. Laz showed up a little later, and the three of us played some Rock Band, but I had to go before anyone else arrived.
MJNL and I went to her cousin's place where there was huge birthday party for her aunt. I recognized everyone from MJNL's side of the family but did not really recall most of the people on the other side.
In any case, we spent most of the night watching the hockey game, and playing.. Guitar Hero! (and Rock Band, and Band Hero.)
Oh, Jeanious left their copy of 'Carcassonne (board game)' at the house, and told us to pick it up. I might try it out before I return it..
