[Sunday, September 27, 2009: Cutting it close.]

We had a number of things planned for today. Derelict's house warming party was this afternoon, and one of MJNL's co-workers was having a huge bash for his wife's 40th birthday, and I had to pick up my car.

First of all, MJNL made me breakfast this morning! Then we took a nap. When we finally got around to getting up and ready, it was already mid-afternoon, and the dealership was closing at four. I had not gotten any word from the dealership about the status of my car, but I figured that we should drive in that direction just in case.

Lo and behold, at three-thirty, I got a call from the dealership informing me that my car was ready to be picked up. Since the dealership was closed on Sundays, I basically had to pick it up in the next half-hour. I was already en route, so I skipped going to the LCBO and went straight to the dealership.

We picked up the car, and then went to the closest LCBO to pick up some wine for the house warming party. The house was not that far away, so we got there around five, and hung around for an hour or so.

Since we had to get ready for the dinner thing (getting dressed up and such) we went home to change, grabbed some flowers, and headed out west. The party started around nine-ish, and the plan was to run until the wee hours in the morning with lots of food being served. Quite a number of the dishes were a little too spicy for my tastes however, so I stuck with some of the foods my tongue could taste. It was fairly tasty though. Then there was dancing. Lots of dancing. I got tired fairly quickly, so we left with most of the rest of our group.
