We went to my parents' place for dinner, and after the meal both MJNL and I had a pear from their pear tree. The pear was good, until MJNL bit into a really bitter piece and spat it out. Part of her pear was brown and holey on the inside, so we decided not to continue eating that pear. It was distracting enough that I did not notice that I too had bit into a brown spot in my pear.
After a minute or so, MJNL noticed that there was a worm that was crawling around in one of those brown holes! I had stopped eating, and looked at the holes in my pear.
I found no worm.
Yummy.
(Apparently my dad would eat the entire pear regardless. Thanks for warning us!)
