[Sunday, May 11, 2008: Busy day.]

We stayed over at MJNL's parent's place since a lot of things were happening in the morning. I had to get up early to do some shopping. I went to Canadian Tire to look for a cabinet organizer that was on sale. It look like the same organizer that we picked up from the Solutions store, but at 70% less the cost! The plan was to see if it was the same model, buy two, and return one of the new ones to the Solutions store for a refund. I would have double the number of units and gotten money back in the process!

Unfortunately, the model was completely different, and as with all Canadian Tire products, I worry that the quality is not as good. Ah well, I bought one anyway to check it out.

Next was to pick up some cards (a wedding and mother's day card) and some chicken broth from Walmart. Then I got back to the house.

The first real event was AL bringing over the roast pig and picking up the dowry. That was a big pig, but our extended family has ordered a whole pig before and devoured it pretty quickly.

After that, and helping out with moving things into the car, we had to get ready for the 'Nikah'. It was interesting, but the actual ceremony was quite small and fairly short, which was good.

After that we rushed back to my parent's place since we were taking my parents out for dinner (at the new Fish House) for Mother's Day.

Then we rushed back to MJNL's parent's place since there was some Mother's day lunch on Sunday and it would have been too much of a rush if we stayed in Toronto (since MJNL had to make food).
