I left work early so that I could go and pick up MJNL from work, head home to finish packing, and the drive up to my parent's place to get ready for the trip. Things were going pretty well even though we were a little late getting to my parent's place. Traffic was okay, until we hit the highway. I was a little surprised that traffic was not as bad as I thought it might be, but we did leave early to beat the rush.
The drive up was fairly uneventful. We passed by a truck with a trailer that was marked "Starcraft" I took a couple of pictures because I thought it was interesting. I do not think of trailers when I think of "Starcraft".
We arrived at the cottage and several people were already there. After an hour the majority of the group had arrived and we started exploring the area. Dinner was held at the biggest cottage, and my parents met with MJNL's parents and the other kids and parents as well. Everyone seemed to get along really well, and then the question came up about my Chinese name.
I guess when I said it, I did not pronounce it correctly, so when AL repeated it, he said it in a questioning manner, since literally translated, it was:
"Really Sweaty"
Uh, no. My mom clarified.
The rest of the night was spent playing games. The kids played poker and the parents played MJ. The moon was mostly full, and light it cast on the lake was just like the time when I went to the cottage several years ago. Too bad I did not have a camera to take a picture.
