I just got a call from the concierge telling me that there was a complaint from the unit below me. Apparently there is some sort of leak somewhere in my apartment, and they believe that it is the toilet that is leaking. Specifically at the toilet gasket. So they were calling to ask me for permission to go in and check to see if it was my toilet that was the problem.
The question is that if it is a problem, then who will pay for the repair?

I got home and so no note on the door nor any indication that anyone had come by to take a look at the toilet. I checked the toilet myself and could not see any leaks. Mind you, the toilet itself is caulked shut so cannot see if the gasket is indeed broken. I went downstairs to ask the concierge if he knew anything about it, but his shift started after the call I got, so I guess I will have to wait until Monday to find out?

I have been keeping in touch with MJNL using some phone cards (Good Chat) that her dad was able to procure. I get about thirty minutes per $2.50 card on my cell (I would get forty minutes if we were using land lines) which is not bad. But one of her friends was able to get a $5.00 SIFA card which apparently has a hundred minutes, although I am sure that number is reduced when using a cell phone. (I have not used up all of the time on this card yet.)
The costs are fairly cheap considering. I still remember that hundred dollar plus phone conversation I had in university just because I dialed a couple of minutes before eleven. *shakes fist*
