Stupid, stupid, stupid.. I did it again.
Do you want me to tell you why? Really? Well.. when I was in line to sign up for the skating course, this girl which I recognized (not the same one from December) got in line as well. Of course, I could've turned around and waved or something, but no.. I thought I'd do that when I was on the way back out. You know, the sort of casual wave and "How do you do?" etc. I figure it would be less awkward to have a conversation that way. Well, minutes pass, and the line was taking forever, but make it to the end I did, and I was able to get into the course I signed up for (which was a good thing) and I was all happy and stuff. So on the way out, I noticed that everyone who was in line was now busily writing stuff on their application forms. Alright, no prob, except that she wasn't there anymore! So everyone was looking down, but someone with her hair would be hard to miss. Dejected, I left to go back to work.
Halfway back to the office, it dawned on me.. the girl in line wasn't the one I was thinking of (who should've graduated and was in Math - which would've been one of my questions). She was this girl who took the Chemistry lab a few terms ago who I wanted to talk to (She was cute, a sorta quiet.. reminds me a bit of Jellybean), but always was too intimidated to do anything. Had I known at that time, I would have been too afraid to look back, but seeing as I didn't, it would've been a good ice breaker.. Gosh darned it! Chalk up another missed opportunity to Mr. Dumpy.
Anywayz, life apart from that has been fairly nominal. Work has been progressing slowly as usual, and I finally got to see the kids that I had to TA. Not the brightest lot, but they all seem to be hard workers (except for the guy who's taken the course already). It should be a good term.
Oh yeah, sat in on the Broomball Captain's meeting today. Recognized 3 of the other captains, which means that I know of three of the other (6) teams in the league. Despite losing Mr. Broomball and Rog this term, they won't be too much of a threat to Riston's team (Apparently I'm the only student on his team). This should be a good term for broomball..
I felt much better today. I seem to be more like my usual self, so I'll probably end up pigging out tonight (though I won't). So it seems like I'll be making Poutine again.. mmm.. poutine.. Tomorrow will be hectic. We're showing the entire Key series this weekend and I completely forgot about it till just now. I probably should show up early some time to help set up the equipment, so hopefully everything should go smoothly.. (Though with my luck..)
