[9:03 AM EDT - Getting used to it.]

Geez, I'm slowly getting used to not having a broadband connection at my fingertips all the time. But it's really annoying. Communication isn't as easy as before, but then again, not everybody e-mails on the weekend.

[Tuesday, July 26, 2005: A TV stand.]

I went to take a look at a TV stand I saw on craigslist. The place was down by the lake, and I wasn't able to find parking in the area, so I decided to stop at a beer store (which had a ten minute limit) and call in to find out where I could park. This drunk sitting in the parking lot was telling me that he'd watch my car for a dime. *shrug*

I found out that I could park in the driveway of the condo, so I got back to my car, tossed the drunk a dime, to which he said,

"Could you spare a loonie? I was joking about the dime."

So I told him,

"Well, you get what you ask for."

But I tossed him a quarter and told him to use it for food. (Yeah right.)

Anyway, I checked out the stand and decided to take it. It's not bad, and it's the right size. Well, I don't think it's big enough to put my DVD player and VCR side by side but..

Their condo was really nice though. It had an amazing view.

I had a bit of trouble getting the stand into and out of my car, but I had help fortunately. Unfortunately, I'll need someone to help me put the TV on top of the stand in my place. It's much too heavy for me to deal with by myself.
