My, my. All of the things I wanted to do today basically didn't work out the way I planned. That was quite annoying.
I skipped out on roller hockey because I'm really sore from yesterday and tutoring got canceled. Then the car wash I wanted to check out was closed, and the hockey store I wanted to check out was closed.. Argh! I'll get back to this story later.

Wah, I got a time of 2:28 for today's Set puzzle. Ah well, there's always tomorrow.
The weather today is amazing. It's a perfect day to go out and get the car washed. That was one of my plans for today (that and getting hockey equipment, signing up for the Ride for Heart, and picking up a pecan pie. Coincidentally, there was an article in the Star which reviewed a number of exterior & interior car washes, and I figured that I'd try out one of the closer ones on the list.
On the way there, I stopped off at a Canadian Tire to sign up for the Ride for Heart. Unfortunately, the one I went to was not one of the participating storesand I searched in vain for a signup counter. Undaunted, I headed off to a hockey store to see if I could pick up some shin guards. I found the store and it was closed. *takes closer look at hours of operation. Hmm, the place closes at three. *looks at time* What the.. quarter to three?!? *shakes fist*
Undaunted still, I headed downtown to the closer of the higher rated car washes and neatly cut of a motorcyclist. I had been stopped behind a guy making a left turn, and tried to get around him in the right-hand lane. I didn't see anything in my mirrors or blind spot, but as I pulled out, this bright green motorcycled appeared next to me! Argh! Where did he come from?!? Fortunately, nobody got hit, although he game me a tounge lashing. I'm a bit surprised that I didn't see him though. The colour was so.. distinct. Ah well. I'll wait a little longer before I make my lane changes now huh?
Anyhoo, I made it down to the car wash and.. it was closed. Argh!!! Apart from the sunshine, the day wasn't really turning out as well as I had hoped. I ended up skipping out on roller hockey and went to pick up a pie. I ended up bumping into AC while I was there. That caught me completely by surprise, especially the fact that I couldn't remember his name until he we parted company. Doh! Ah well, I went looking for my pie and came up with nothing. I did walk home with some cheap orange juice and danishes, I was really in the mood for pecan pie!
So.. I registered for the Ride for Heart online, and I'm going to call up that other car wash to see if they're open today. Then I can do the stuff I was supposed to be doing today..
