Ugh, I'm so glad that I have such a short commute to work. I think that if I had to drive for more than half-an-hour a day to and from work, I'll probably go out and shoot someone.
WIth that said, we went to pick up something from somewhere during the height of rush hour. It's not one of the smartest moves in the history of man (or history of QYV) but hey, I wasn't the one driving. Anyhoo, on the way back to the house, we had stopped off at a red light and the driver in the car ahead of us popped out of the car, opened his trunk, grabed some stuff and rushed back into the driver's seat while the cars ahead of him started to speed off. Well, this isn't really that interesting until a car that had gone around this blockage changed lanes in front of this guy. Now this was a close call, and the guy just leaned on the horn for a good minute. Eventually the car in front stopped right there in the middle of the street and some hand gestures were exchanged. So the first guy pulls out in front and at the next red light, he comes out of his car and starts yelling at the other driver. This goes on for a good two minutes before the light turns back green and traffic resumes.
A few lights down, a truck was turning left and nearly hit a car that was running a red light. Actually, the light was red, and the car just decided not to stop. I was this close *holds fingers millimeters apart* to using my First Aid skills. Crazy, crazy drivers.
I went out to lunch with AT, ET, LC, and MT. I was actually surprised that ET came along with us. (No phoning home jokes.) I found out that drivers who are turning left do not have the right of way even if the other car was running a red light. I think as long as it's amber, but I'll have to look it up.

I helped get the new lawnmower up and running. It didn't really need much. Just oil, gas, and a fuse. I wonder why we go through all of this trouble though. I'm tempted to just go out and grab one of those cheap grass cutters that you push. It's good exercise, it's cheap, and it's good for the environment. Too bad I'm too lazy. I wonder if you can actually find one of those things somewhere.
I went skating tonight. It seems like the usual skating crowd has gone off to do more wonderful and interesting things because the arena was very empty. I'd say less than twenty people were there. Tops. This means that there's a lot of ice, and I got to practice a lot of tricks I haven't tried in a long time.
